Cameron Witbeck is the Business and Human Rights Legal Intern with IASJ for the Summer of 2024 from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is based in Silver Spring, MD.

Cameron joins IASJ, bringing a background in human rights and environmental justice from prior professional and academic experiences. Prior to law school, Cameron had the privilege of working alongside the faculty and its affiliates of the Pozen Family Center for Human Rights at the University of Chicago, where he primarily focused on domestic restorative justice for victims of police brutality and the intersection of racial and environmental equity in post-colonial states. Going into his 2L year at law school, Cameron has extended his interest in human rights and racial justice, becoming a member of the Human Rights Associates Program and holding an executive board position on the newly formed Abolition Advocacy Project. Cameron looks forward to continuing his human rights legal education in the Human Rights Advocacy in Action Practicum for the 2024-2025 academic calendar.

Cameron graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Global Studies, and minors in Human Rights and Francophone Language and Cultural Studies. Contact Cameron at cwitbeck@iasj.org.
