Sister Margaret Anderson

Margaret Anderson is a dedicated Dominican Sister of Hope based in Ossining, NY. With decades of service and leadership, she has been a member of the Congregation’s Leadership Team from 1999 to 2003 and again from 2014 to the present, currently serving as the Secretary General. Sister Margaret holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York, where she also served on the Board of Trustees. She earned a Master of Arts degree from New Jersey City University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Her ministry spans both education and social work. She has served as a teacher and administrator in schools across New York and New Jersey, as well as a social worker in New York schools, bringing compassion and care to every role she undertakes. Sister Margaret’s life is a testament to her commitment to education, service, and the values of the Dominican Sisters of Hope.
