Pauline Madriz is a highly accomplished financial services professional who brings a powerful combination of extensive financial expertise and a deep, personal commitment to racial and social equity. Originally from Trinidad and having grown up in underserved communities, Pauline’s lived experience provides a vital perspective that directly supports the mission of Investor Advocates for Social Justice (IASJ).

Pauline is currently a Vice President, Securities & Derivatives at Citibank. Pauline’s financial acumen is built on a strong academic foundation. She holds an MBA (Corporate Finance and Investment) from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business (2022), where she was recognized as a Joseph R. Swedish Scholar, a Forté Fellow, a Toigo MBA Affiliate, and a MMC RISE Fellow. She also holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Honors College), both from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Pauline’s background in strategy consulting, Capital Markets (Fixed Income & Equity), and investment analysis is rigorously data-driven—essential for fulfilling the IASJ Board’s fiduciary duties.

Pauline’s career demonstrates a clear ability to align financial expertise with strategic execution and operational transformation, skills directly relevant to the IASJ’s work. At Accenture, she led a climate finance project focused on identifying opportunities and financing strategies for clients to mitigate climate change risks. This included conducting COP 28 research and illustrating the value of financial instruments like green bonds, brown bonds, and blended finance options to unlock private capital for climate solutions—experience that aligns perfectly with IASJ’s mission for climate justice. Her commitment to social impact is further evidenced by her involvement in CASE i3 – impact investing/portfolio management during her MBA and her current role as an InvestWrite Judge for the SIFMA Foundation. She is passionate about sustainable fashion and spent a semester at ESSEC school in Paris learning about International Luxury Distribution as a foreign exchange student, demonstrating a breadth of interest in ethical and sustainable business models.

Pauline has a proven track record of delivering measurable financial results and leading complex, high- stakes projects. She has successfully developed business cases for large-scale operational transformation projects ($100M+) and optimizing proprietary trading platforms.

Pauline is dedicated to leveraging her network and skills (including her former role as a Board of Director for NYU’s Alumni Association) and financial acumen to fully engage in identifying and securing the partnerships necessary for IASJ to advance its mission of promoting human rights, climate justice, and racial equity through investor advocacy.

In her personal time, Pauline enjoys travelling, going to the gym and volunteering at a food pantry.
