Human Rights in the Value Chain

Human rights impacts can occur at any level of a value chain- from raw material extraction, to recycling and reuse. Forced labor, child labor, and other labor rights violations persist in global supply chains, despite government regulation and company commitments. Additionally, companies frequently violate Indigenous Peoples’ rights to self determination. To tackle these potential and actual human rights impacts in companies’ value chains, IASJ is implementing two innovative campaigns: Shifting Gears and Feeding Accountability.
